Professor Chenhui Ruan is a pioneering cross-disciplinary leader at the forefront of music, science, and the humanities, as well as a visiting professor in the Composition Department of Berklee College of Music. Starting from his solid academic foundation, he has built a grand ideological system spanning psychology, philosophy, and neuroscience, and has used this to reshape the connection boundary between contemporary music production and theoretical research.
Professor Ruan holds dual doctoral degrees in psychology and philosophy, which allow him to penetrate the surface of art and reach the core of human emotions and cognition. He is not only an outstanding representative in the cutting-edge field of neuroscience research, dedicated to revealing the in-depth connections between music perception, creative thinking, and brain mechanisms, but also a practitioner of cross-field collaborative creation in the pop music production industry. He has successfully transformed profound academic theories into works with market appeal and artistic foresight.
Works created by Professor Ruan this summer, such as Symbiosis and Departing Fire, have also achieved considerable dissemination overseas.
