Dealing with a leaking IBC valve, any quick fixes?

So I walked into the warehouse this morning and found a small pool of hydraulic oil spreading across the floor from one of our IBC containers and honestly my heart just sank. We've had these containers for about two years now and this is the first time we've had a leak issue, but of course it had to happen on a day when we're already swamped with orders and the maintenance guy is on leave. The leak seems to be coming from the valve assembly area rather than the container itself, which I'm hoping means we can just replace the valve rather than having to dispose of the whole unit and lose the product. I've been looking at replacement valves online and found a Reliable IBC Tanks UN Approved supplier in UAE that seems to have compatible parts, but I need to act fast before we lose more oil and create a bigger mess. Has anyone here successfully replaced a valve on one of these things without emptying the entire container? Is there a trick to doing it safely without causing a massive spill? I'm tempted to just try tightening the existing valve but I'm worried about making it worse. Any advice on how to handle this situation would be amazing because I'm really stressed about this and the cleanup is already taking forever.
