Take care of an original leather jacket by cleaning it gently by wiping the jacket with a soft, damp cloth or microfiber towel every few weeks. For deep cleaning, use a specialised leather cleaner for stains. Never use harsh soaps, bleach or dishwashing liquid. You also need to condition your leather jacket; apply the conditioner every 6 to 12 months. This keeps the material soft and prevents cracking. Also, test the conditioner first on a small, hidden spot to make sure it does not darken the leather. Then, store the jacket using padded hangers to maintain the shape of the shoulders. Also, store it in a cool, dark and dry place.
