I'm really hoping someone here can help me out because this is driving me crazy and it's becoming a safety issue with the kids in the car. I've got a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica and the right-side power sliding door has started acting up over the past few weeks. It will open fine, but when I try to close it, it gets about three-quarters of the way and then reverses and opens back up again like something is blocking it, even though there's nothing in the way. Sometimes if I hold the button down inside the car and really force it, it will eventually close, but it takes multiple attempts and it's super frustrating. I've checked the tracks and they're clean, and I've even tried lubricating the rollers but that didn't help at all. I've read online that it could be a faulty latch sensor, a bad actuator motor, or even an issue with the door control module, but I really don't know which one is the most likely cause. I don't want to take it to the dealership and pay through the nose for something that might be a simple fix. Someone from my local parent group mentioned Chrysler Pacifica repair Dubai and said there are some independent workshops that actually understand these vans and can diagnose the door issues properly without just replacing everything. Has anyone here had this exact problem with their Pacifica sliding door and can tell me what the fix was and roughly what it cost? I need to get this sorted before the summer hits and we're stuck with a door that won't close properly.
My Pacifica's sliding door won't close properly - anyone else had this?
