I've had my 5 Series for about two years now and I absolutely love the car, but I'm starting to get a bit obsessive about keeping the paint in perfect condition and I'm not sure if I'm doing enough to protect it. I wash it regularly and I've been using a decent wax every few months, but I've started noticing some very fine swirl marks starting to appear, especially on the darker panels, and it's really bothering me because the car was absolutely flawless when I bought it. I know BMWs have really nice paint from the factory but I've heard that the clear coat can be quite soft and prone to marring if you're not careful with your washing technique. I'm considering getting a proper professional detail done to correct the swirls and apply some proper protection, maybe a ceramic coating or at least a high quality sealant that'll last longer than wax. The thing is, I've seen so many different detailing packages out there and I have no idea what's actually worth the money versus what's just fluff. I'm hoping to find a place that offers certified BMW detailing in Abu Dhabi because I want someone who understands the specific paint characteristics of these cars and won't just treat it like any other vehicle. Has anyone here had their BMW professionally detailed and can tell me what kind of package they went for and whether it was worth the investment? I really want to keep this car looking great for years to come and I'm willing to spend money on proper care, I just want to make sure I'm spending it wisely.
